The Manker LAD is a lightweight aluminium USB-rechargable keychain light that is available in two LED types.
Features:
- Small and pocketable EDC (Every Day Carry) torch
- Available in three colours (red, black, grey)
- 250mA li-polymer battery with fast recharge time (~75 mins)
- IPX-6 waterproof
- Red LED mode that preserves night vision
- Includes box and USB cable
- Flat edges let the torch stand on it's sides
- Recessed button prevents accidental activation (unlike the Nitecore tube / tip)
8 Modes:
Standard Modes:
- High = 30 mins at 300 lumens
- Medium = 1:30 at 86 lumens
- Low = 5:30 mins at 23 lumens
- Red Mode = 100 hours at 1 lumen
Special Modes:
- Strobe (rapid powerful pulsing)
- "Dragons breath" (pulsing power switch for locating the torch)
- S.O.S (3 short, 3 long)
- Beacon (brief blink)
The standard modes are seperated from special modes by long or short press when turning on.
A memory feature is available that remembers a mode for easy access.
Cons
- USB cover is weakly attached - may compromise waterproofing if detached completely
- Red LED mode is weak
- Physically small and perhaps difficult to hold as a result
- Lots of modes - perhaps complicated for some
